Task/Problem Overview

This knowledge base article covers how to use the Stock Adjustment feature in Savance Enterprise. This feature is used to adjust inventory levels. To access this screen, right-click on a line item and choose the Stock Adjustment option, or use the Stock Adjust button from the Item Manager within the Warehouse tab.

Quotes & Orders View

In the event, you need to do a stock adjustment while placing an order you can easily access the stock adjustment by right-clicking on the item you wish to adjust.

This will bring up the Stock Adjustment screen.

From this screen, you can add a location of the item, update the quantity on hand, set default locations. After you’ve made your adjustments you will need to choose a reason for the adjustment from the drop-down provided. Once a reason has been selected the ‘Save’ button will now be available to select to update your changes.

Item Manager View

Alternatively, you can do a stock adjustment from the Item Manager screen within the Inventory Manager. To get to the item manager go to Inventory > Inventory Manager > Item Manager and search for the part number you wish to adjust.

This will take you to the same screen as if you were placing an order.

NOTE: Before you can adjust or newly add a quantity of an item a location must be added even if it is the ‘**NO LOCATION** before being allowed to add quantities.

After you’ve made your corrections and specified a reason for the adjustment, select ‘Save’ to update your inventory.
